The Sack Back is the best recognized of
all Windsor chairs. This one is a composite of several antique New
England Sack Backs. Its oval seat is wider than it is deep. The chair
is shown with paddle arm and Windsor Institute vase leg.

original and features a shield shaped seat and two decorative grooves
on the face of the crest rail. It is an ideal side chair for use with
both the Sack Back and Continuous Arm Chairs.

Connecticut Continuous Arm, it is truly an American innovation and
the most graceful Windsor chair. Its shield shaped seat is narrower
than a Sack Back's but it is also deeper.

This chair features a steam bent crest
with hand carved scrolls. Bracing spindles supported by a tail piece
give added strength. The arms feature both sides of the hand. Suitable
around a table or as an "easy chair."

Rhode Island Style arm terminating in hands with carved knuckles and
scrolls on both sides of the hands. The crest is steam bent with very

This functional chair can be used for
writing, working or eating and is available in right or left handed
versions.

This chair features a steam bent crest
with no carving in the ears and a writing tablet. The tablet can be
furnished right or left handed and can be ordered in a variety of
tablet woods and left clear with an oil finish. Our standard tablet is
made of Poplar and painted.

This chair has all the features of a
regular Sack Back Arm Chair with the addition of the pair of rockers
and the crest. This crest is not bent and has no carvings in the
ears. The story goes the crest was there to allow a shawl to be draped
over the chair.

This chair has all the features of a
regular Nantucket Fan Back Arm Chair with the addition of the pair of
rockers. With the tall back, set at a slightly greater rake it is a
very comfortable rocker.

This Settee is a long version of our Sack
Back Arm Chair being twice as wide as a regular chair. These chairs
were generally referred to by the number of legs, hence ours would be
call a six-legged Settee. This chair features a one piece steam bent
crest rail and a one piece steam bent arm rail. It also features an
oval seat much the same as the regular Sack Back Chair but is a
plank type seat rather than a pommeled seat that is used on the
Sack Back Chair. The Settee is an ideal chair for a hall, front porch
or in front of a fireplace. It will also work at a dining table.

The Low Back Settee is an elegant piece
